Doctrinal Statement                 What We Do

Paul Heier,   [bio]   has served as a pastor, college professor, teacher, and consultant. He completed his doctoral project on how to effectively train Nicaraguan church leaders. His book entitled, Leading Out of Love, received outstanding reviews and is currently available in English and Spanish. His other books are available at Lulu.com. The Lord has given Paul a great love for the people of Central America. Paul also works with The Center for Discipleship Studies which promotes discipleship and biblical ministry training through distance learning and the internet. Paul currently serves as the director of Mision Hispana.

Thania Heier was born in Nicaragua. God called her to return to Central America and to reach out to her own people. She has a passion for missions and completed her bachelor’s degree in missions leadership at Logos Christian College. Thania longs to see people become passionate about God.  She is in charge of children's ministry and teaches personal evangelism.

   
Chris Rozycki has been playing the guitar for several years. He also enjoys writing music, graphic arts, free-hand drawing, and playing soccer and baseball. Chris’ desire is to see the people of Nicaragua and Costa Rica come to know Christ!  His future goals are to start a baseball team and soccer team in Nicaragua.  Chris is in charge of graphics, design, worship, and works with youth in Nicaragua and Costa Rica.

José Thomas Rivas was born in Boaco, Nicaragua. He is 19 years old and is an intern with Mision Hispana. He likes singing and enjoys playing soccer and baseball. His desire is to finish his studies in biblical ministry to help others come to know God.
   
Efreen Martinez was born in Santa Lucia, Boaco, Nicaragua on June 9, 1987.  He is 19 years old and is an intern with Mision Hispana.  His dream is to help the poor and win souls for Christ.  He is currently working on Biblical studies and missions work with Mision Hispana.  He enjoys playing Baseball and wants to use that as a tool to help and teach youth.
   
Michael Smith is an intern with Misión Hispana. He is currently working on his bachelor's degree at The Center For Discipleship Studies and plans to be a full-time missionary. He has interest in hiking, youth ministry, aviation, sports, and snipe hunting. His favorite book of the Bible is Acts.
   
Erin Heuser has lived in Florida for her entire life and has been called to work with the people of Nicaragua. She is a photographer and earned her bachelor's in Biblical Studies and Youth Ministry from Trinity College in 2005. She is looking forward to joining Misión Hispana soon and teaching about the hope that Jesus has given us.
   

Mision Hispana is a team of missionaries in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. They provide short-term missions trips, internships, and christian leadership materials.
